HELLO & WELCOME TO HUGH JART 2008 - WEBSITE CONSTANTLY UPDATED - CALL BACK SOON - Last Update: 29/11/08 on ARCHIVE 08 "SHOUT" murals

Since 1995 Hugh Jart has been permanently capturing public input & creativity on huge canvas painting screens.

From Bradford to Berlin, Dulwich to Dubai. Hugh Jart supply all the equipment, inspiration & enthusiasm necessary for the general public to be transformed from spectators of the creative to creators of the spectacular. Hugh Jart provide a unique & satisfying experience for all involved, as well as creating a work of art which can be displayed & enjoyed indefinitely. Not limited to two dimensions, Hugh Jart also provide interactive painting on a variety of 3D shapes & large letters.

In 2007 we extended our regular festival engagements with painting screens & giant letters and also delivered commissions for large sculptures and models for the National Railway Museum & the National Media Museum. Here is a selection of some of last years 3D activities.

'VELOCITY' Porterbrooks Portable Engine

National Railway Museum commission. The brief was to produce a futuristic train come art toolbox that would fit in a transit van. Designing the train with two Year 6 classes through a series of drawing & model making workshops, we then went on to build Velocity for display & use in the museum & outreach projects.

GLASTONBURY 2007

Rain didn't stop play for HJ around the entrance to the Kidz Field this year. The Kidz Painting Screen was in constant use. A large Painting Screen gave peas a chance. A little LOVE sat proud in fabulous fauna reflecting in its own moat. UV van painting, mud crocodiles & an enormous great golden pig perched high on a pole.
